Cliffside Mayan ruins overlooking turquoise Caribbean sea

TIP OF THE WEEK

Big changes just took effect at Tulum’s Jaguar Park and Archaeological Zone.

Free for everyone: Jaguar Park entrance + 10 public beaches along the coast.

Ruins entrance fee: 80 pesos for Mexican nationals, 265 pesos for foreign visitors.

Also part of the plan: electric shuttles (20pesos), a new south entrance parking lot, National Guard visitor assistance, and new air routes to boost connectivity.

Announced by President Sheinbaum during her visit to Tulum, this is part of a broader plan to make the region’s natural spaces more accessible – officially in effect as of July 20, 2026.
